Volunteering and Student Placement
The role of our volunteers/students is critical to the operation of the farmstay and sanctuary. We accept volunteers all year round, requiring a minimum stay of
3 months. We prefer a male/female couple due to some heavy work that can be involved. Good level of speaking and comprehending English is essential.

• General volunteers
• 88 day VISA sign-off
• TAFE Student Placement
• Industry work experience
We provide free, private accommodation and food basics. These are pantry items such as rice, pasta, flour, cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar, etc. Volunteers are responsible for fresh food purchases such as meat, fruit & vegetables.
When available we share farmed produce such as eggs, honey, greens & herbs.
Live in Volunteer/Student Accommodation...
A private, open-plan studio with kitchen, bathroom, double bed & living space.
Wifi connected at your cost.
A contribution toward electricity & gas of $10/week per person.
A car is preferred however not necessary. You may be required
to provide a copy of your insurances.
The work involves close contact with wildlife, with extensive training given to those who want to learn and be involved with the more hands on aspect of our Sanctuary.
We maintain a high standard and best care practice at all times. All areas of animal husbandry are taught to enable proper caring for both wildlife and farm animals.
Volunteers participate in all aspects of the Sanctuary, animal care & rehabilitation, maintaining enclosures, rescue, medical aid and fundraising.
You must have the ability to work alone as well as in a group setting,
demonstrate initiative, be observant, work efficiently and have attention to detail of tasks & responsibilities.
